The guest lecture I want to discuss is Tim Jordan who talked about operations management. Some of the main concepts I learned were about supply chain and communication. Those two are important concepts because supply chains are used throughout all business so it was interesting to learn how they really work and what goes on behind the scenes. As for communication it was important to see how Tim communicated with other companies and what he has to do communication wise to keep the process running smoothly. A concept from the textbook that relates to what Tim discussed is  operations processes . This relates because the operations process is about transporting, sorting, delivering, and so on. Those things are three points Tim discussed during class. Those points are only a few on the plenty things that go into the process of a working supply chain. The event I attended was the WestPACS job and internship fair that was back on October 10th. I attended this event because of all the different employers that were there. I felt this was the most useful event because their was plenty of opportunities to make connections. Having the chance to see all kinds of different employers shifted my focus more to cybersecurity as a whole rather than staying in management information systems. I think a few of those connections will be useful for internships and hopefully a job later down the line. This event made me think about a few things in the career I want to pursue. One of the things I consider now is job enrichment . I think it is important that I always learn more and have the potential to move up the ladder because I do not want to be stuck at the same position for life when I begin to work.
